Job Description
The Northern Missouri Research, Extension and Education Center (NM-REEC) is looking for a Business Support Specialist II to work at the Lee Greenley Jr. Memorial Research Farm located near Novelty, MO.
Job Duties:
Greet visitors, coordinate training workshops/school, assist with farm tours, and field days. • Prepare and manage contact lists for NMREEC. • Coordinate and provide communications through various means within and externally for the Northern Missouri Research Extension and Education Center. • Review checklist and prepare monthly reports for NREEC Director. • Maintain supplies and track inventory for the assigned facilities. Purchase supplies through Show-Me shop when possible and/or University approved vendors.
Assist in monitoring and reconciliation of multiple accounts for Northern Missouri Research Extension and Education Center (CNMREEC) as assigned. • Work with MU Finance Shared Service and assist One Card holders and travelers upload receipts when needed. Review and approve expense reports, non PO vouchers, non-catalog requests, and contract/leases agreements. Reconcile purchases ensuring all receipts have been attached and the correct Mocode and people soft accounts have been used prior to approval. • Prepare and submit journal entries and cash/check deposits. • Prepare and assist in travel planning and voucher requests.
Plant Sciences Grant Support. • Works with Director and Researchers submitting, maintaining, managing and tracking grant budgets. • Ensures timely grant reporting.
HR • Serve as supervisor delegate. Review and approve staff timesheets.
Salary
Salary Range: $15.75 - $27.42 per hour
GGS Grade: 007

Minimum Qualifications
An Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Office and budget management along with external communications experience. Experience with marketing/public relations would be beneficial. Entry level or above accounting experience.
