1. Job Purpose:

• Develops accurate supply plans for specific business unit(s) / product line(s).
• Analyzes internal capacity and develops plan to align supply and demand to meet customer requirements.
• The Buyer / Planner role is responsible for the continuous supply of all material and to ensure all customer demands can be maintained.
• The role includes the planning and buying of all direct raw materials to ensure uninterrupted supply to Operations

2. Responsibilities:

Main areas of responsibility:

• Responsible for developing individual production line plans (finite planning) from a Master Production Schedule (MPS), across numerous production lines and product families, to maximum the efficiency of the Production plant
• Interacts with Global Planning Group in the US on a regular basis, reviewing finished inventories and MPS
• Expedite production orders though Production, Quality and Release, to meet exceptional customer demand
• Liaise between Operations, Tooling, Source, Quality and Deliver and drive Work In Progress (WIP)
• Ongoing review and assessment of the planning systems with the aim of driving continuous improvement of the planning process.
• Manages data integrity processes and follows current compliance regulations and standards.
• Develops and reviews performance metrics in areas of quality, cost, and delivery in support of the key supplier scorecards and business reviews.
• Produces and reviews reports within specified time frames.
• All employees are responsible for minimizing both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform
• Purchasing of all Raw Materials in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Responsibility of identifying key improvement activities to achieve saving targets in line with plant requirements
• Manage, maintain and develop relationships with the supply base that allows a continuous generation of value
• Prepares purchase orders for raw material, component and related items as specified by engineering and production specifications and schedules
• Purchases raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material needed for production
• Takes appropriate action in resolving discrepancies in order quantity, price and seeks corrective action on late deliveries
• Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, supply chain and others, as appropriate, to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling and movement of materials and services

Qualifications

3. Education and Experience Required for Role Essential:

Candidates should have experience in a similar role or a 3rd level degree in business/supply chain or relevant discipline.

Ideally, candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Supply Chain role Desirable:

• Experience in similar role of materials procurement, scheduling of production activities
• Strong analytical ability, detailed knowledge of planning / scheduling, proficient in use of excel applications, good communication skills.
