Brief Description
The Rexnord Industrial Chain & Conveying seeks a dynamic and experienced Planner with a desire for a long term career in Operations. The role is ideal for those who have some solid experience in a Planning or Scheduling role, excellent work ethic, a hands-on style, sharp analytical skills, and a desire to learn a lot within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Create and maintain an efficient schedule of spare parts orders for product
- Monitor incoming orders, set promise dates, monitor the schedule and develop action plans to maintain schedule dates to assure high levels of on time delivery.
- Review and execute shop/work order requirements to support business needs.
- Expedite and defer goods as required.
- Communicate with supervision and other colleagues to avoid bottlenecks and maintain timely flow of product.
- Identify process gaps that may delay manufacturing or hinder delivery. Increase efficiency and support OTD and inventory initiatives.
- Act as liaison between customer care, sales, production, engineering, and purchasing.
- Own the monthly and quarterly shipments forecast. Responsible for timely reporting of KPI’s.
- Lead projects, using project management skills and techniques to manage cross-functional teams to achieve the desired outcome of a detailed action plan.
- Negotiate complex requests for products, equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Drive the supplier approval and management process by identifying and maintaining direct contact with suppliers.
- Maintain ongoing supplier performance data for periodic internal/external review and initial corrective action/development as necessary.
- Evaluate vendor quotations, utilizing appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service across multiple global locations.
- Drive innovation and a focus on continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Operations or Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of Planning or Scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment.
- PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel). Must have the ability to efficiently generate spreadsheet information and summarize data into readable reports.
