Position Description
An allied health care professional who is responsible for analyzing and reprogramming various brands of cardiac rhythm devices, analyzing heart rhythm, and remote transmissions. Works with patients to coordinate appointments for both in-person clinics or remote transmissions. Also works with other departments to provide cardiac device management recommendations. Works under the supervision of the medical director of the EP lab.
Position Requirements
Associates Degree in Healthcare related field and 2 years or more of experience in a healthcare-related field. Additional years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of minimum education requirements. Dysrhythmia interpretation-Must successfully complete Dysrthymia couse within 6 months of hire. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Must obtain ACLS within six months of hire.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare related field. 3 years or more of experience in working with cardiac rhythm devices. Device interrogation. Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist.
