Catering Assistant

The Bon Secours Care Village is unique among our facilities as it provides long term, convalescent and respite care. It is a state-of-the-art purpose built facility with specific design features and surrounded by beautiful gardens. It is located approximately 2-miles outside of Cork City centre.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth running, efficiency and timely delivery of the catering service in your unit

• Organise and prepare menu sheets to accurately determine resident’s orders

• Set up, assemble and serve food to residents in a timely manner

• Follow Food Safety and HACCP guidelines related to food handling, storage, and PPE usage. Ensure that all the necessary information is being recorded accurately and efficiently.

• Use appropriate detergents and techniques at wash up stations, work areas, tables and the restaurant floor

• Deliver professional standards of service and adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

- 1 years previous experience in a catering environment is desirable

- Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety would be advantageous

- An advanced level of English

- Candidates must be available to work weekends

- Eligible to work in Ireland, with own transport

- The ideal candidate will have a good work ethic, with the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
