Pay rate is based on job experience.

Minimum Starting Pay Rate $18.00/HR +7.5% Night Shift Premium

Laboratory & Pilot Plant

Assists Senior Distillation Unit Operator in Laboratory and Pilot Plant distillation projects. Projects are conducted on behalf of core business clients associated with the operation of distillation equipment located in Romeoville, IL.

Assistant should be able to Document all Laboratory & Pilot Plant Projects in manual notebook and Excel spreadsheet format for file or distribution to client.

Participate in laboratory & pilot plant cleanup and maintenance.

Pilot Plant Operations

Assist Senior Operator in day-to-day activities in Pilot Plant & Laboratory including:

(i) Operating Pilot Plant (PP) equipment to assure Customer QA/QC Requirements are satisfied;

(iii) Assist in PP and Lab maintenance activities to assure uninterrupted equipment operation.

Laboratory Regulatory Compliance

Participate in safety training, proper use of PPE, equipment & operational safety

Proper labeling of samples & products as directed by Management

Preferred work experience:

- Experience in Chemical Processing

- Computer literacy in Excel, Word and other useful programs

- Strong Work Ethic and Team Participation

- Organizational skills

- Familiarity with chemical processing methods and equipment

Work Hours

12 hour shifts; 3.5 days per week; 40 hours per week

Night Shift: 6PM-6AM Monday - Wednesday and Thursday 4PM - 10PM

Initial Training: Day Shift 6AM-6PM Monday-Wednesday and Thursday 6AM-Noon

Occasional Overtime

Education Requirements

- High School Degree.

OTHER COMMENTS: Position requires a self-motivated and self-directed individual with minimal direction from Senior Operator or Management. Individual should be capable of developing a close working relationship and cooperative environment with coworkers conducive to ongoing operation. Position also requires a responsibility to operate equipment safely and document operational variables and/or equipment malfunctions.
