The Chief of Staff, Finance is responsible for advancing strategic initiatives that impact administrative, financial and operational activities of the Finance organization. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Chief of Staff, Finance will ensure the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the CFO and Finance Leadership Team. The incumbent is a key constituent of the team who will help drive concerted efforts to achieve the organization’s vision and short/long term goals. This will be a highly visible position providing effective planning, general business management, communication, and project management expertise to drive Finance alignment and performance across the ChenMed organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works directly with CFO to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the CFO and Finance Leadership Team to facilitate timely decision making, coordination, and strategic alignment in service of reaching company (and departmental) vision, mission, and goals.

  • Aids CFO in improving quality and scope of decision-making, guidance and advice to the CEO, other executives and to the Finance Leadership Team related to strategic, operational and personnel issues.

  • Executes established management cadence and annual goal-setting processes; continuously identifying ways to improve processes.

  • Coordinates Finance Leadership Team meetings and CFO Business Reviews.

  • Ensures completeness, accuracy, and timely delivery of materials for management meetings and key finance processes.

  • Enhances accountability of leaders by tracking – and aiding in – completion of commitments.

  • Brings insight to the drivers of operational and financial results to help self and others better understand the business and finance’s role within the business. -

  • Develops trusting relationships with all internal and external Center of Excellent (COE) leaders to determine potential misalignment and identify ways to improve.

  • Collaborates, facilitates, and influences multi-stakeholder discussions to drive strategic and financial initiatives forward to completion.

  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 20% of the time

  • Spoken and written fluency in English

  • This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree in a financial discipline with eight (8)+ years of related work experience OR a bachelor’s degree in Business or a financial discipline with ten (10)+ years of consulting or related work experience required

  • Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis above the minimum required

  • Progressive career growth and experience in business and/or strategy development leadership roles required

  • Experience in Process Management
