Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone - Jamestown Office
Salary Range: $4780 - $5577
If Underfilling: Minimum Salary of $4,003 (additional information below)
Summary of Work
The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide Child Protection in the Buffalo Bridges HSZ (Stutsman & Barnes Counties) in addition assessments may be assigned in Central Prairie and Eastern Plains Zones. This will include:
- Completing Child Abuse and Neglect Assessments
- Provide crisis intervention as needed to maintain family stability
- Attend requested training or other staff development opportunities
- Be on call for emergencies on a rotation basis
- Maintain open communication with other agency staff and other service providers
- Provide transportation for clients
- Court Testimony
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, elementary education, early childhood education, special education, child development and family science, human resource management (human service track), or criminal justice, and two years of professional human services work experiences as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. A Master’s degree in one of the areas above may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement. The appointing authority may identify specific certification/credential and experience depending upon the position to be filled.
If no qualified applicants are found, we will consider under-filling this position, with a minimum salary of $4,003.00 per month. Individuals may be required to work non-traditional work hours. The ability to visit persons in their own homes and providing transportation for clients using the employee’s own transportation is required for this position. A criminal background check and a driver’s record check will be performed prior to employment. This position requires proof of adequate vehicle insurance.
