The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Under the direction and general supervision of the Hearings Supervisor, obtain medical record documents as determined necessary by clinician in support of Medicare billing and appeals.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Read and reply to e-mail in a timely manner as needed. -
Listen and respond to voicemail in timely manner as needed

Provide supervisor with work progress reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis or as required

To investigate and analyze patient charts by reading documents, and the patients’ physicians and/or nurses’ progress notes, and negotiating computer based research.

Review wound tracking for complete documentation needed for reconsideration of denial and/or partial denial of payment. (i.e. Number and type of wounds)

Ask medically appropriate questions to clinical field personnel

Correspond via email and phone with 3M customers in a professional and concise manner.

Consistently meet and maintain production level as dictated by management
-
Answer all incoming inquires regarding denial cases as appropriate.

Understand their role and impact they have in the departmental team; including exhibiting positive attitudes, willingness to help wherever asked, staying focused and on task to the matter at hand, and being part of the success of your team

Performs other duties as assigned.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
