We’re looking for a Clinical Informaticist I in Odessa, TX to help us.
As a Clinical Informaticist I, you will provide informatics mentorship and act as a liaison between the clinical department and IT, using both clinical knowledge and informatics knowledge to provide innovative solutions. You will participate and provide clinical input during the application system review, design, development, test, and improvement of information systems. Your responsibilities will include focus on clinical utilization and workflow, including patient safety and clinical outcomes as well research, analyze and make recommendations for application workflow improvements. You will be responsible for establishing positive relationships with department leaders inside the client organization, collaborate across teams to plan, implement and evaluate the efficiency of systems and services, as well as ensure appropriate communication and documentation is completed to support high quality clinical workflow and application development. Finally, you will assess and analyze client’s end- user learning needs to develop and maintain curriculum and tools.
Basic QualificationsAt least 4 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- At least 1 year of licensed health care practice, health informatics, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or client-facing or other HCIT solution work experience
- At least 3 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job
- Associates degree (Higher Education, Higher National Diploma) in Nursing
- Bachelors degree in Health Informatics or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Registered Nurse - State Board
- Bachelors degree in Nursing, Informatics or Information Technology
- At least 1 year of clinical informatics work experience
- At least 1 year of Cerner Millennium work experience
- At least 1 year of clinical work experience
- Must reside in or around the Odessa, TX area
- Willing to travel locally up to 20% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent d report any compromises of security within scope of position
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
