Job description

This is a position specifically for candidates who plan to begin applying to medical school within 12-24 months and wish to gain a strong background in direct patient care and clinical research. Although there is no specific set amount of time to complete this program, candidates MUST have completed their undergraduate degree or be within 2 years of doing so with the reasonable expectation that employment with us will end with their matriculation to a medical school, with assistance in the application process.

Successful candidates will join a team of seven extremely motivated and intelligent young professionals each at different points on this journey. The nature of this position will expose you to both our in-house research (www.marchandinstitute.org/research) as well as working on FDA clinical trials. Co-authorship on multiple papers as well as multiple volunteer experiences are guaranteed over the course of the position, however the main part of the job is the (very hard) work of direct patient care and scribing under direct physician supervision.

There are three shifts weekly (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) of approximately 11 - 12 hours each from 8am to approximately 8pm. Although time off is granted for essential functions such as medical school interviews, the schedule of MWT is largely not flexible and 100% availability is required.
