Cloud Security Architect

Role Overview:

The Cloud Security Architect must possess a strong understanding of security frameworks, controls and requirements needed to implement the best practice standards for protecting against Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability. The candidate must demonstrate an understanding of information security policies, frameworks, standards, and patterns, identity and access management technologies, compliance requirements, encryption and signing solutions, network and data security, monitoring, and logging across a diverse background of on premise and cloud hosted environments. The candidate must be able to effectively create and communicate standards, policies, requirements, patterns, and architecture guidance based on best practices and industry standards.

About the role :

• Work with engineering teams and infosec team to move applications from on-prem to public clouds while ensuring that security best practices and security policies are followed
• Conduct Security Architecture Reviewing/Firewall request security reviewing/Security exception handling, etc.
• Consult with engineering teams to improve the security of their architecture
• Contribute on multi business unit projects to effectively design and implement enterprise security systems across all environments.
• Enhances security team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members.
• Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures;

About you :

• Minimum of 7yrs experience in Security Operations.
• Strong Experience working across teams to identify security requirements and translate requirements into technical architecture designs.
• Strong experience with security architecture designs and frameworks spanning all layers of security in the Cloud, including users, workloads, storage, and network
• Strong experience of Standardizing public cloud (AWS, GCP) Security best practices, processes, and procedures
• Able to effectively champion implementing Security Standards and Practices within the organization.
• Expertise with security architecture review, security exception handling, etc.
• A solid understanding of how networks and common networking protocols work.
• Good understanding of databases, client & server-side technologies or system monitoring and administration.
• Experience documenting processes, standards and procedures.
• Understandings in configuration management frameworks (e.g. Puppet, Chef)
• Hands-on scripting background (Bourne/Korn Shell, Python/Perl/Ruby)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred to have

• Proficient working with GCP, Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, and a cloud configuration tool in a highly available and scalable production environment.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Salt.
