Moog Aircraft Group in Torrance, California is looking for a CNC and Conventional Machine Maintenance Technician on 3rd Shift (10:00pm-6:30am) to maintain and troubleshoot all types of conventional and CNC production machinery in addition to other facility equipment. This position is located at our aerospace plant in Torrance, CA.

Maintenance Technician’s Important Responsibilities:

• Install, service, dismantle, and troubleshoot all types of production machinery (conventional and CNC) in addition to other facility equipment.
• Identify the issues causing the breakdown on machines or equipment.
• Determine the proper methods required to dismantle and repair defective or worn out parts, utilizing schematics, diagnostics and manuals.
• Use instruments such as dial indicators, rpm meters, surface plates, micrometers and laser alignment equipment.
• Must be capable of operating equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and all required hand tools.
• Interpret schematics of mechanical devices and close tolerances according to job requirements.
• Construct, assemble or direct modifications providing missing design details necessary to increase or maintain production requirements.
• Assist and direct outside service technicians with in-house service and repair activities
• Inspect equipment and recommend the appropriate corrective action.
• Work after normal working hours as needed, including rotating weekends
• Must be willing and able to work 3rd Shift (10:00pm-6:30am).
• Must have own hand tools.

Basic Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 4 years of experience in an industrial Maintenance Mechanic role
• Experience repairing manufacturing CNC and conventional machines (lathes, drill presses, grinders)
• We ask that you have access access to export controlled information.

Additional Qualifications Include:

• 5+ years of Maintenance Mechanic experience
• Experience with air filters, worn out parts, realign machines
• 5+ years of experience repairing manufacturing CNC and conventional machines (lathes, drill presses, grinders)
• Use operating hand tools
• Maintenance Mechanic experience in a machine shop environment
• Operate machine controls to repair/troubleshoot the machines
• Maintenance experience with Okuma, Studer, and Mazak machines is helpful

California Residents: Pay range for this opportunity is $36.40 - $39.00 per hour + 15% shift differential when work on 3rd Shift (10:00pm-6:30am)
