CNC Machinist

Full-Time: Mon- Thurs 6 - 4:30 (4 Ten Hour Days)

Wage: $24-34

Machinist Job Responsibilities:

*Sets up, operates, and maintains CNC and manual lathes, saws, milling machines as well as other Machine shop equipment. *Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production. *Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping. *Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task. *Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment. *Monitors production, adjusting feeds, speeds, and other settings, as necessary. *Maintains inventory of completed products. *Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects. *Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs. *Maintains a safe and clean workstation. *Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed. *Updates set-up sheets and programs as required.

• Supports and exhibits the focus of zero defects as well as right-the-first-time attitude.
• Provides suggestions or advice to maximize the efficiency of Machine Shop.
• Inspects work utilizing basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth gage, etc).

[Work Hours & Benefits] This position is a fulltime Monday – Friday 630am-330pm. Overtime available at times. Benefits Include: Medical, dental, vision, 5% employer matched 401K, Supplemental, Work boot program, Vacation and Tuition program.

Machinist Qualifications/Skills:

*Excellent coordination and mechanical skills *Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety *Solid written and verbal communication skills * Basic programming knowledge (“G” code). *Proficient in math *Basic computer skills *Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

*High school degree or equivalent *Experience working with machine tools, knowledge of HAAS control a plus *Working knowledge of safety protocols *Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $20.00 - $34.00/hour.
