Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Read/interpret blueprints and Smirt Solid Models accurately.
• Process work to be performed.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC Milling Machines accurately and efficiently.
• Select appropriate cutting tools as required.
• Perform quality checks on an ongoing basis.
• Operate over head crane.
• Fill out machine/job log book on a daily basis and communicate necessary information to Leadhands and co-workers from different shifts.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Additional Information

• Recognised Certificate of Qualification as Machinist.
• English language fluency, both written and verbal.
• Ability to demonstrate good work practices including attendance, timekeeping, tidiness, safety awareness, quality awareness, responsibility and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Flexibility especially during busy periods.
