The job
We are looking for an experienced nurse with relevant clinical skill to join our nursing team and who has the passion, drive and commitment to deliver specialist ISC, bowel or Ostomy Care within the acute and community. This role covers Ireland East. The locations will be both at our nurse led clinics and in patient’s homes. The role will be two days per week, 9am to 5pm.
We are looking for a nurse to join our experienced team. The nurse needs to be able to work as an independent practitioner, be self-motivated and have a winning mindset. They need to be a strategic thinker who wants to build on their commercial awareness and skill.

Essentials of the Role:
We are looking for a Specialist Nurse to work in Partnership with our HSE colleagues to provide ethical and professional nursing services within our Chronic Care Division (Bladder, Bowel and Stoma Care) within NMBI guidelines. The essential duties of this role cover:
Professional and Ethical care to patients utilising evidence-based practice in compliance with professional standards and guidelines
Work to achieve Key Performance Indicators and demonstrate key outcomes for patients, services and the Coloplast business
Demonstrate key skills and competency to reflect Clinical Nurse Specialist status and practice these standards within the given therapy
Seek opportunities to support HSE and Healthcare partners by developing and delivering patient pathways and high-quality standards of care and demonstrate the effectiveness of them
Support the Coloplast Business to secure and develop preferred partnerships
Effectively and efficiently plan, manage and organize caseload and time and continually seek to drive efficiencies in workload through the establishment of clinical reviews and virtual reviews
Work with Coloplast stakeholders to set up route of care for patients and consumers through the virtual offering
Deliver education and support in therapy via engagement and support meetings on the digital platform
Communicate effectively and provide feedback to patients / carers and referring Healthcare professional
Continuously collect customer feedback through audit and analyse and feedback to key stakeholder and continually seek to improve services
Maintain clinical records in accordance with Company, Legal and Professional requirements
Instigate working practices to ensure collaborative working between different stakeholders e.g. acute and community health care teams
Generate and maintain effective working relationships with health care professionals across the region
Deliver educational support to fellow health care professionals
To act as a resource in providing expert information and advice to patients, carers, public and professional agencies as appropriate
Undertake service audit / evaluation activities in order to monitor standards, maintain service provision and identify opportunities for improvement
Participate in research activities and initiate opportunities to evaluate the experience of patients living with intimate healthcare needs
You will have the following skills and competencies:
Registered General Nurse with NMBI
Maintain professional education in accordance with NMBI requirements
Expert Clinician
Take responsibility for keeping up to date with trends / changes in the HSE and clinical developments within specialty. Disseminate information to colleagues effectively
Sound interpersonal and relationship building skills
Teaching experience
IT proficiency
Valid driving licence
Urology, bowel or stoma care experience desirable
