At Certified Technical Experts, Inc., our success depends on our Mid Strategic Communication Specialist to join our team. In this position, you will support the Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff, and Director Offices by creating strategic communication strategies, plans, and products for internal and external clients at various classification levels. We are looking for a highly skilled Mid Strategic Communication Specialist who demonstrates expertise in working with senior leaders to interpret, convey, implement, distribute, and communicate the messaging of the Directorate.

Job Description:

This position will develop, execute and assess an effective strategic communications program for STRATCOM (an entity within Maxwell AFB)

• Assist STRATCOM and the USAF in communicating the best message, through the right channels, measured against well-considered organizational and communications-specific goals
• Develop strategic communication plans, including key messaging playbooks and annual strategic communications plans
• Provide communications support including speech writing, talking points, or presentations
• Knowledge of innovative strategies to inspire and progress key strategic communication goals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both with a team and independently
• Review senior USAF officials' speeches to ensure consistency with the SAFIIA strategic communications plan.
• Prepare/coach senior STRATCOM leaders for speaking engagements.
• Assess senior STRATCOM leaders for their speaking performance and provide professional/candid/constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure effective coordination of STRATCOM participation in all strategic communication events and fora, including coordination with event/venue point of contact, protocol personnel, etc.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Education: Bachelor's degree with a desired emphasis in a Strategic Communications curriculum

Skills: Possession of excellent analysis and data gathering skills as well as a possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience:

3+ years of experience with developing and maintaining targeted communications products such as fact sheets, briefs, communications plans, strategy, strategic communications support, and audio-visual presentations

3+ years of experience with developing and making recommendations on best practices and implementation strategies that are documented to include outcomes, timelines, and stakeholders

3+ years of experience with facilitating and participating in internal and external stakeholder facing meetings, developing agendas and meeting materials, documenting meeting outcomes, and tracking actions to completion

3+ years of experience with developing training content and tools for users to learn and operate data-related applications

3+ years of experience with building and maintaining user guides and system documentation

3+ years of experience with data-focused organizations

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

At least three (2) years’ experience in three (5) or more of the following:

• Public Relations
• Public Affairs
• Public Diplomacy
• Mid-level Speech Writing
• Journalism
• Audio & Video Production
• Event Planning

Knowledge and general understanding of the following areas:
