Hume Contracting, FKA Hume Supply, is seeking experienced Construction Laborers to join our dedicated team in the Lima and Findlay areas.

Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

• Must be proficient with all assigned duties
• Be knowledgeable and experienced in operating your equipment. Assist crew in tasks as required
• Always think and practice safety. Always wear a hard hat when not on your machine. Know and comply with company safety policies and programs
• Attend and participate in weekly safety meetings. Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
• Check all fluid levels each day before starting equipment and at end of day. Add as required
• Grease all fittings as required as often as required. Replace fitting that won’t take grease
• Keep inside of cab and deck clean on equipment
• Keep your assigned machine clean and stocked with grease, fittings, bucket punch, hammer, rags, etc.
• Notify your supervisor when machine is ready for service and preventative maintenance
• Fill out and turn into your supervisor equipment repair requests as soon as an equipment problem is noticed
• A Team spirit makes for the best job. Know your supervisor’s plans and needs, look ahead, and keep communication open
• Always present yourself in a professional manner that enhances the reputation of Hume Contracting
• Timely report to assigned project
