- PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Roles and responsibilities are listed but not limited to the following:
- Support the Project Manager and field team.
- Ability to generate, and track RFI's, submittals, project e-mails, submittal logs, transmittal's, write proposals, generate and review , generate and review requisitions, etc.
- Provide daily reports from job site visits and inspections
- Provide resolution to field issues as required
- Comprehensive knowledge of design drawings, details, schedules, and specifications.
- The Project Engineer is the middle man between the PM, Design Team, and Owner/CM in charge of document control for the project.
- Maintain control of ALL project documentation.
- Coordinates and maintains special inspection documentation for the project as required.
- Create, manage and track RFI’s from the field to the CM/Design team.
- Maintain, update and distribute project plans and records.
- Understand the Project Plans and Specifications.
- Responsible for understanding project plans and answering field personnel questions.
- Assist in getting building permits for the project as required.
- Understands appropriate building codes/regulations.
- Coordinates and manages project change order as required.
- Conducts and documents project meetings as required.
- Creates and distributes meeting minutes as required.
- Assist the project team with site safety documentation and coordination as required.
- Assist the project team with documenting job progress, and schedule updates.
- Assist the project team with closeout of the project including punch list and project close out submittals.
- Assist project team with assigned tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- We are looking for a self-motivated individual able to operate independently and with a team.
- Experience with masonry, building envelope, new construction, curtain walls, roofing, building skins a plus
- Verbal communication skills, including diplomacy are required.
- Effective at using organizational and planning skills
- Computer skills are required
- Spanish speaking a plus
We are a great company with over 17 years experience in commercial construction in the tri-state area. We are looking for a driven candidate with 2-3 yrs experience in a Project Engineer, or similar role. A degree in Construction Management is highly desirable. Must have experience in AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project. Compensation based on technical background and work experience.
