About the Company

Nationally known General Contractor currently in growth mode with a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects. Actively seeking Construction Superintendents (national travel, regional travel, and locally based opportunities) to lead Construction Projects in any of the following Verticals:

  • Retail (i.e., restaurants, convenience/outlet/retail store, commercial space)
  • Hospitality
  • K-12
  • Healthcare/Life Science
  • Warehouses
  • Cold Storage
  • Distribution Centers

Job Description

The superintendent will be responsible for all production aspects of the project and is accountable for producing quality work that is constructed consistent with the standard's set forth in the project's contract documents, as well as performing the work in a timely and cost-effective manner, and for maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.

  • Manage the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and labor, maintaining strict control over the accuracy and quality for each work activity.
  • Plan look-ahead schedules, maintain project schedule controls.
  • Identify and report problems or deficiencies to the Director / project executives.
  • Document on-site activities that may impede progress or compliance to project/contract requirements.
  • Implement all safety policies and quality programs, ensuring strong performance on safety audits.
  • Creates change orders to execution.
  • Miscellaneous purchases.
  • Review subcontract agreements.
  • Maintain strict control over the budget for each work activity.
  • Coordinate receipt of and inventory of all owner supplied materials.
  • Assist in preparation of project status report and provide complete daily reports to the Project Manager.

General Background and Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of construction experience as a Superintendent on projects valued $4M- $30M
  • The capability of maintaining and following a Critical Path project schedule
  • A thorough understanding of and ability to maintain a current, complete set of project documents, blueprints, revisions, specifications, and related items
  • General computer skills, willingness to expand the use of new technologies for scheduling and reports
  • Undergraduate degree in construction, engineering, architecture, construction work or a related discipline preferred but not required.
  • OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid training certifications preferred, but not required.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
