About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Control Management Specialist.
This person will be engaged in the hands-on development of issue related executive reporting and governance materials including Operations Risk & Control Committee, Control Meetings, and materials used with regulators. They will be expected to develop presentations while creating routines for updating leaders on key escalation topics related to issue management. They will work in a matrixed environment that will require relationship building and consistent outreach to leadership and key stakeholder across the enterprise. Must leverage their knowledge of risk, controls, and issue management to make connections with data and other information to translate into senior level reporting and prep materials. This person will need to be comfortable juggling multiple deliverables at once and maintain the overall deliverable calendar for the team.

In this role, you will:
- Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
- Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
- Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
- Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
- Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations
- 2+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Internal Audit, Evidence Based Control Evaluation, and Front Line Issue Verification experience
- Public accounting/assurance engagement experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
- Executive or program reporting experience
- High level of attention to detail and solid critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and regulators, to include virtual, matrixed leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships.
- Excellent Communication Skills-Verbal and Written; including ability to tell the full story with a few key pieces of relevant data in a concise way
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time if needed
- Ability to work on site per Wells Fargo's standard operating model in one of the listed locations.
