Qualifications


Qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting from an accredited institution or years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. Candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance. Must have excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.


Essential Functions


  • Preparation of corporate entities financial statement package including variance analysis
  • General ledger accounting
  • Prepares special analysis and assumes other special activities as needed
  • Knowledge of accruals, prepaids, WIP and fixed assets and depreciation
  • Manage Journal Entries, GL perform month-end close
  • Oversee bank reconciliations and balance financial records
  • Prepare regular reports about company finances including budgets, debts, deficits, expenditures, and revenue
  • Review data to ensure that proper procedures are being followed
  • Identify and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Utilize database management systems to maintain up-to-date record keeping of financial documents
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Construction accounting or related industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with the following programs strongly preferred:
    • Word
    • Excel
    • Outlook
    • PowerPoint
    • Deltek experience
