THE POSITION

Blair County Children, Youth, and Families is looking for a Social Services Aide 1 to provide supportive services to children and families served by our agency.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Social Services Aide 1 is an essential support for children and families served by Blair County Children, Youth, and Families. In this position, you are given a chance to grow and empower others. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• 
  Full-time employment. 37.5-hour workweek.
• Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Salary: Starting pay is $20,670.00 annually; $10.60 hourly.
• Competitive benefits package starts first of the month following 45 workdays and includes 90% employer-paid PPO health insurance with prescription and vision components, defined benefit pension plan, defined contribution plan, group term life insurance, sick time, and 14 annual paid holidays.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

• Graduation from high school; or
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation.
• A conditional offer of employment will require drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
