Credit & Collection Analyst

Collection Analyst - Primary responsibility is with collection of a portfolio of accounts and to assist in the achievement of departmental goals. The CA coordinates with branch personnel to assure the collection goal. This position will report to the Credit Supervisor and Finance Manager. Will also interact within all management levels from Carrier Puerto Rico Inc.

Duties and general responsibilities

• Handling of collection portfolio for accounts with credit lines less than $100, K
• Responsible for the ongoing review of each account’s status, define the collection strategy for the period
• Participate and present collection forecast for portfolio in a timely manner
• Process collection activities through platform such as reminders, send invoices to customers, payment receipts
• Process templates for payments received through Lockbox, WT/ACH, deposits in BPPR for posting in Nxtrend
• Handle, negotiate, follow up with segments and customers on order approvals, releases on assigned accounts
• Periodically maintain the assigned portfolio clear of variances -/+ $25.00
• Handle Internal/External disputes in a timely manner
• Assist on setup of cash accounts, follow through OFAC/Worldcheck screening when necessary
• Actively participate from start to finish on a new credit line processes requested by segments within current approval matrix through platform
• Review of assigned customer files per credit policy
• Request renewal of expired information – Merchant Registration Certificate, Sales & Use Certificate, Exemption for Services Rendered Certificate
• Support to other Finance activities such as Store Audits, cash review – Petty Cash, Form 8300, account reconciliations, SOXA
• Availability for unexpected, assigned tasks
