Job description
Knight Boat Docks manufactures dock ramps, custom docks and custom fabricated aluminum parts. Our philosophy is to do the best job the first time. Knight Boat Docks offers the marina-grade Knight Dock, the river-ready Knight SK Marine Pontoon Dock, and is the distributor of the EZ Dock product line throughout the Pacific Northwest, Montana, Utah, Alaska, Hawaii, Northern California and Canada.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, this role provides overall customer service, ensuring quick resolution, results, and the highest level of both internal and external customer satisfaction. Position responsible to intakes order requests via phone and email and perform other administrative tasks as assigned
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These duties are typically performed in this position. Employee may not perform all the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties
- Enters complete and accurate order information in to Order Entry System by obtaining customers information and specifications. Ensures all pertinent fields are entered accurately, in a timely manner, and adhering to any unique customer requirements per procedures.
- Responsible for polite, professional, and efficient telephone communications with customers, ensuring timely response to all incoming calls, displaying an eagerness to serve the customer's immediate need.
- Provide same day order confirmations and clarify order discrepancies or delays on the various areas
- Maintains company document control from start to finish of each sales order
- Organizing, compiling, and filing product sell sheets and other customer and account documents
- Acts as first point of contact to resolve order discrepancies
- Supports Sales department by greeting and directing visitors to appropriate company contact as needed
- Provide daily back up support to receptionist desk
- Other administrative office, operations or sales tasks as needed and/or assigned
- Work within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization
- Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION
The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or learned within a short period of time to successfully perform the duties
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ prior job-related experience in an office setting preferred
- Prior experience supporting a construction or manufacturing industry is a plus
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and Adobe required; Experience with Epicor is a plus.
- MUST be detailed oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good listening skills is essential
- Uses discretion, good judgment, and adherence to strict confidentiality
- Excellent time-management and general organization skills
- Possess high level multitasking abilities and the ability to continually re-prioritize tasks
- Comfortable with a business casual environment maintaining the appropriate appearance to represent company to the public
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, produce quality work while maintaining focus within mandatory time frame.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 10 lbs. constantly (67-100% of time); up to 40 lbs. occasionally (15-25% of time)
- Ability to communicate (read, write, speak) constantly (67-100% of time)
- Handling and manipulating objects and materials
- Coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers
- See with or without correction; hear with or without correction
