Knowledge Services is seeking a Data Analyst for a full-time direct hire role. Position comes with full benefits and applicants are able to work 100% remotely.

Responsibilities:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for:
- Support various State agencies with their data requests and reporting needs.
- This involves interacting with business users to collect business/design requirements, working with data to create new reports, maintain and enhance existing reports, and service change requests related to production issues and performance enhancements.
- The Data Analyst will also contribute to project work related to the maintenance of an existing, Azure based application, where they will service change requests related to enhancements, process improvements, and addressing production issues.
- Prepare Design and unit test case documents for new developments and change requests
- Perform Design discussion meeting with Data Architect/Clients
- Translate design to code and publish to different environments
- Execute test plans, and document results and discrepancies
- Interact with business users during UAT
- Analyze, debug, and fix any production job failures
- Work on query/data requests for the users
- Analyze and provide solutions to business-critical issues
- Interact with Clients/IOT for environment setup
- Performance tuning any long running queries
- Learn new tools (like Tableau) on need basis
- Participate in Internal Team meetings and meetings with Clients
- Update timesheets and status reports on a timely manner
The Data Analyst Requirements include:
Nice to Have:
- 3-5 years of work experience in Cognos building new reports, maintaining existing reports, servicing change requests related to production issues, performance enhancements, data requests, and conducting an impact analysis
- Experience in databases like Teradata/SQL Server/Oracle
- Experience creating complex SQL and performance optimizations
- 3+ years of development experience on an Azure platform
- Azure services, particularly DevOps
- Experience using .NET, C#, ASP.Net and Web API
- Configurations pertaining to the data factory, storage account, application insights, app services , functions etc.
- Experience in Data warehousing project
Nice to Have:
- Experience in JIRA, Confluence
- Experience working in Agile project
- Knowledge of GIT and branching strategies
- Experience or knowledge in Integration / ETL tools like informatica / SSIS
