Join our Operations team as a Data Centre Design Engineer and you could soon be supporting the design stages of building customer spaces across all of our Ireland data centres. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with the Service Design Manager as you support the team responsible for the design, integration, deployment and guiding customers in formulating requirements and advising alternative approaches. What’s more, using AutoCAD, or similar, we’ll rely on you to help meet new customer demands and support existing customers with their expansion plans by scoping and capturing solutions and delivering best-in-class service. Providing pre-contract technical expertise, processing and developing design drawings and supporting the bids/proposals process – all are aspects of this superb career development opportunity.

What you’ll need

• A degree in science, engineering, or related discipline or equivalent, with practical experience a bonus
• A proactive approach, ‘ can-do’ mentality, the commitment and drive to go the extra mile and the ability to delegate effectively when required
• Adaptability and openness to change and new ideas – someone who can handle pressure and adjust their plans to meet changing needs
• Excellent listening skills plus the ability to speak clearly and concisely, give clear instructions and share information and ideas with others
• A flair for breaking down problems, understanding underlying issues, simplifying and processing the complex and appreciating the difference between critical details and unimportant facts
