About the Role
In order to achieve its ambition of serving 40,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven must make smart, data-driven decisions to continuously improve and utilize a robust data infrastructure that meets the needs of our Fellows, staff, and stakeholders . In that effort, Braven is hiring a Data Operations Administrator who will support Braven’s growth by helping to maintain and improve Braven’s Salesforce implementation and provide service across Braven teams on user support, training, and reporting. As a member of the Data Operations team, you will ensure our Salesforce data are accurate and reliable; produce reports and dashboards of our program outcomes; and partner with regional program teams to understand and make decisions based on our data insights.
What You’ll Do:
Salesforce Administration (~50% of time)
- Conduct proactive administration, monitoring, and maintenance for Braven’s Salesforce solutions and implementations
- Manage users in Salesforce and provide direct support and response to users’ support requests
- Build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards to support critical business processes and demonstrate program outcomes
- Support the integration and management of 3rd party tools affiliated with Salesforce (e.g., Mogli, Campaign Monitor, Form Assembly)
- Document and promote user best practices (e.g., training and user guides)
Data Analysis & Evaluation (~50% of time)
- Expertly use SQL and Excel to create thoughtful dashboards aligned with Braven’s priorities
- Design and manage systems and processes to efficiently collect and collate data (e.g., survey design and coding, extracting and organizing data from different sources)
- Troubleshoot and update datasets to ensure they are updated, accurate, and reliable
- Support additional projects to achieve evaluation and analysis priorities
General Responsibilities
- Be a member of Braven's growing Data Operations team, contributing problem solving and expertise towards our goal of data and operational excellence
- Be an active participant of Braven’s agile cross-functional scrums teams by owning and completing user stories related to Salesforce, data collection, goals tracking, analysis and reporting
- Be an empathetic and reliable thought partner to regional program teams to understand their Salesforce needs, review and interpret data trends and potential implications for program execution and outcomes

Required Qualifications
- You have 1-2 years of professional experience using or administering Salesforce
- You have experience or proficiency with SQL and/or Python
- You have strong proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets
Preferred Qualifications
- You may have received your Salesforce 201 Admin Certification (preferred) or are working towards certification
- Salesforce experience in a non-profit context is a big plus
- You have a track record of success managing yourself to complete multiple projects well and on-time
- You are eager to collaborate with others, understand their problems, and use your own expertise and perspective to solve problems together
- You like working in a fast-paced and team-oriented working environment that rewards self-starters and strong collaborators
- You have experience or proficiency with business intelligence software (e.g., Periscope, Tableau)
- You have experience or proficiency with email marketing tools and email automation (e.g., Campaign Monitor)

- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be fully vaccinated and have received the Booster vaccination against COVID-19 and provide proof of such by the date of hire. Individuals may claim exemption from the vaccine requirement for medical or religious reasons. Exempted individuals will be subject to weekly testing if they engage in any in-person work activities.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your demonstrated fit for the role, will likely be between $49,000-$61,200 in Atlanta, $51,500-$64,400 in Chicago, and $55,700-$69,600 in NJ/NY. Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking. - Unlimited vacation time in addition to org-wide, week-long shutdowns in July and the end of the calendar year

Location
When social distancing is not in place, we gather in the office two-three days a week. Therefore, we require teammates to live within commuting distance of one of our hubs: Chicago, New York City, Newark, or Atlanta. Each teammate can use two flex days of their choosing per week to work remotely. We believe in the magic, connection, and collaboration that happens when people work together face-to-face and we believe in giving people flexibility to focus, balance personal priorities, and save themselves two commutes per week.
