Who we are looking for
This role will be responsible for Infrastructure Microsoft SQL Server MSSQL Database administrator as part of Production Management organization of 24*7*365, an organization that delivers highly secure, reliable, efficient technology operations services that are focused on the needs of all State Street business. Responsible for Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge and Configuration management for infrastructure platforms. This role will be responsible for the day to day governance of operations processes driving platform availability. In collaboration with the business, technology peers, and vendor partners, you will ensure that State Street’s businesses have optimized services and operations, enabling greater availability, performance and reliability in the delivery of State Street products.
What you will be responsible for
As Infrastructure Operations MSSQL Database Administrator you will be
- Incident, Change, Knowledge, and Problem Management accountability
- Responsible for end to end support for Microsoft SQL Server database Platform including MSSQL /Open systems Database monitoring, investigating problems and developing solutions
- Hands on experience on database backup and recovery/migration technologies
- Knowledge with in Microsoft SQL Server Database Tuning, Performance Tuning , Query optimization.
- Experience in Database Monitoring and tuning using Query Store, DMVs, profiler , event viewer and other tools.
- PowerShell or .Net experience scripting experience
- Hands on experience on High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server and clustering solutions.
- Experience with tools such as DMVs ,PerfMon ,Profiler and Extended Events.
- Provide support for Database life cycle activities.
- Knowledge of SSIS and Reporting Services will be plus
- Adhere to the customers Incident Management Processes and proactively drive the continuous improvement of the Incident Management Process
- Opening required Problem Tickets from Incident Tickets Improving the quality and usage of the Known Error Database and recommended workarounds
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud database services
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- B.S/M.S.Degree
- 7 + years as L2 Production Support Microsoft SQL Server database Administrator
- Microsoft SQL Server, Sever security
- Power Shell scripting, Ansible
- Certification :Microsoft certified database administrator associate
Core/Must have skills
- Experience in managing Microsoft SQL Server database support of 24*7*365 in high demanding industry like Banking/Finance for more than 10+ yrs.
- Deep understanding of MSSQL /Microsoft SQL Server product.
- Strong Troubleshooting, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Analytical, Collaboration and Decision Making Skills. Proactively identify issues, root cause analysis and implement both temporary and permanent solutions
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Automation & Hybrid Cloud Experience
Good to have skills
Thorough understanding of architecture and hands on experience with database
Experience with third party monitoring tools and application to support database

Salary Range:
$75,000 - $112,500 Annual
