Job description

Under direct supervision of the provider and nursing leadership, performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist in the quality and compassionate care provided to patients. These duties include the greeting and escorting of patients to the exam room; taking medical histories, the measurement and recording of vital signs; preparing patients for the examination/procedure; and assisting the physician during the examination/procedure. Demonstrates clinical competence as a Dental Assistant.

Dental Assisting Experience is Required. Implant Experience is Preferred.

Required to travel to both Royal Oak and Detroit locations

Qualifications - External

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: A certificate of completion from an accredited dental assisting program or six months of experience as a dental assistant in an oral surgery or dental clinic. Radiology certification. Within 3 years of hire, must successfully complete the DAANCE (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Exam) to meet requirements to continue to assist with anesthesia cases. BLS certification.
