Job description
Applications are invited for an appointment as Deputy Internal Auditor (0.7 FTE) Permanent, at University of Galway.
The post holder will support the Director of Internal Audit and Internal Auditor to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and guidelines.
Through their work, the Internal Audit Unit provides assurance to the Accounting Officer and Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) as to the adequacy of the University’s internal control system. The post holder will work closely with University Management Team and senior management in the University, as a partner, to provide continuous process improvements that will effect change in the University’s risk and control environment.

Salary:
€55,956 to €75,858 pro rata p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
(This appointment will be made on the Grade 5 scale in line with current Government pay policy)
