Cimarron is seeking Design Engineers to join a large aerospace customer in Fort Worth, TX. This position is supporting a 1-year contract.

This opportunity offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for additional cash-in-lieu of benefits.

Key Duties:

  • Design major components, or major portions of an aerospace vehicle systems (electrical or fluid) installation.
  • Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
  • Develop basic data and make preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposals.
  • Investigate pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.
  • Coordinate with other organizations affected by design development.
  • Make layouts of assemblies and details parts of electrical, fuel, hydraulic, ECS, or other equipment installations, including wire harnesses, tubing/ducting, and related components.
  • Check completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
  • Identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.



Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Due to facility requirements, only U.S. Citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
  • Familiarity with electrical harness components sufficient to perform installation work (ex. connectors, backshells, clamps, splices, and terminals).
  • Experience in electrical harness design or hydraulic/fuel/ECS design.
  • Experience with CATIA V5.
  • Experience with 3D functional tolerance and annotation.
  • Experience reading and interpreting systems diagrams to implement as installations.
  • Bachelor's degree and 9 or more years of related experience, or Master's degree and 7 or more years of related experience.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Active Special Program Access.
  • Familiarity with Capital Logic and Capital Topology toolsets.
