Job Summary
The Flag Football Development Coordinator will work at four different Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida club locations in the Orlando area every week during the summer (one different club location per day – 4 days per week Monday through Thursday). Main responsibilities will focus on the execution and coordination of the youth football program four days per week. As the coordinator, you will be responsible for teaching flag football drills to youth from ages 6-13, as well as collaborate with flag football coaches and oversee the flag football program to enhance the overall BNA Sports Flag Football Development experience for youth.
Schedule:
· Dates: June 5th – July 21st
· Days of the Week: Monday – Thursday
· Shift: 8:30am – 4:30pm
· $500 stipend per week (paid bi-weekly)
Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Coach football development camp participants individually and in small groups
· Utilize a variety of appropriate strategies and resources to develop youth football skills
· Evaluate the individual development of athlete football skills
· Ability to plan individual skill stations and drills
· Promote BNA Sports Flag Football Development Program
· Demonstrate knowledge of the area being coached
· Monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of youth participants
· Demonstrate the ability to adjust instruction of strategy and fundamentals to youth participant’s needs and interests
· Practice and promote positive interaction with and among youth participants
· Use positive reinforcement and constructive criticism to maintain good athlete discipline
· Ability to prepare comprehensive football development plans
· Other duties as assigned or as directed by BNA Sports Organization
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to assist in football station set-up and breakdown which may require frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds
· Summer training required
· At least 2 years of coaching experience (professional, collegiate, interscholastic, or youth)
· CPR/First Aid Certified
· Successful prior experience with youth development
· Ability to coach male and female athletes
· Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple projects
· Excellent in communicating, engaging, and interacting with youth ages 6-13
· Ability to collaborate and work well with others
· Lively, out-going, positive, hardworking, and be willing to work in a fast pace environment
· Flexible and capable in the ability to lead and be led
· Excellent trouble-shooting abilities
· Must be able to work all 4 days for this position, along with the required shift each day.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
