Job description
Setting up and serving trays, pouring beverages, clean dietary work area; stock and store food, dishes, and supplies.
The person holding this position is responsible for following the current federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
essential functions:
1. Ability to follow oral directions.

3. Ability to understand and prepare therapeutic diets.
4. Ability to document resident’s intake in flow books.
5. Ability to set up trays and tables.
6. Ability to serve trays.
7. Ability to serve in dining room.
8. Ability to bus trays and dining room.
9. Ability to pour and cover beverages.
10. Ability to assist in preparing and covering food.
11. Ability to clean work area.
12. Ability to assist in the proper care and use of kitchen equipment.
13. Ability to attend in-service training programs for Food Service employees.
14. Ability to observe infection control procedures related to the Dietary Department.
15. Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm, effective manner.
16. Ability to follow fire and disaster procedures during a drill and actual occurrence.
17. Ability to come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
18. Ability to follow Resident’s Rights policies at all times.
19. Ability to follow facility safety program.
20. Ability to come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
21. Ability to accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
22. Ability to assume accountability for data contained in the employees’ handbook.
23. Ability to perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator and Food Service Supervisor.
