Job Summary

The Director of Athletic Facilities and Operations will provide leadership and direction for all athletic facility and special event operations which includes directing the day-to-day usage and maintenance of athletic fields and facilities and coordinating capital improvement projects. The Director will also lead and direct game day management operations, ensuring continuity and quality of services at all home sporting events. The Director will also manage facility scheduling and calendars for special events in all athletic department facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in in related discipline
• Five (5) or more years of directly related experience managing athletic facility operations and event management in a collegiate environment
• Supervisory experience
• Valid US Driver’s License

Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines
• Knowledge and understanding of capital project planning
• Knowledge of event scheduling methods, facility use agreements and event planning processes
• Ability to initiate, develop and maintain appropriate contacts
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, including budget preparation and management
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Ability and willingness to work long hours including nights and weekends

Local travel between campus locations only
