Development Manager

Full Time, Non-Exempt, Benefits Eligible

Position Summary:

The Development Manager will oversee the organization’s fundraising efforts. Development Manager will build relationships with individuals and organizations to secure philanthropic support. The position will assist the President/CEO to organize and manage the United Way annual Workplace Campaign and Leadership Giving accounts to maximize giving and increase participation by cultivating strong relationships with, motivating, and training volunteers in assigned divisions and accounts. Provides professional staff support to President/CEO of United Way Pasco County and volunteers involved in United Way's annual workplace accounts and other committees or projects as needed.

Responsibilities:

Direct Services

· Assist President/CEO to envision, plan, communicate, and implement an annual United Way fundraising plan that incorporates short and long-term goals, campaign goals, donor stewardship, volunteer involvement, and support of community impact efforts.

· Accurately forecast, monitor, and prepare reports on workplace campaign donor tracking and other related systems.

· Prepare proposals and personalize presentations for workplace campaign accounts.

· Coordinate the involvement of appropriate board, staff and volunteers in the planning and implementation of workplace campaign solicitation strategies.

· Assisting and motivating company’s employee campaign coordinators in planning and completing their campaigns.

· Organizing agency tours and speaker presentations for company employee campaign meetings.

· Communicating United Way’s message to potential donors, both in small and large group settings.

· Prepare campaign marketing, press releases and social media functions.

· Represent the United Way of Pasco County in various community meetings and events.

· Represent the United Way of Pasco County in various community meetings and events.

· Collaborating with the board of directors to create and implement a fundraising plan.

· Collaborating with the communications team to develop a digital fundraising strategy.

· Furnishing board with regular progress reports.

· Collaborating with a network to identify and build relationships with new donors.

· Maintaining relationships with existing sponsors.

· Obtaining financial support from individuals and organizations.

· Managing fundraising and special events.

· Managing the development software.

· Complete all tasks as assigned by the Executive

· Assist with any United Way of Pasco related tasks on an as need basis

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.

· One to three years of progressive development, sales or marketing experience required.

· Experience in non-profit or business management required.

· Computer proficiency required.

· Experience with Donor Software, Word and Excel is required.

· Excellent written, oral, presentation, and facilitation skills required.

· Supervisory experience required.

· Valid FL Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
