Culver Franchising System, LLC is currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director of Operations leader to lead a professional team of Franchise Business Consultants to support growth, operational execution and alignment with the Culver's brand standards for our southern Midwest market area.
The Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring proactive restaurant operations support through collaborative franchisee relations, business planning and the application of effective operational principles. They will also provide ongoing leadership and team development to support the applied capabilities promoting positive guest relations, product quality, training, team development and expense controls while providing expertise to franchisees in support of their quest to drive restaurant sales and profits, and ultimately adding value to the Culver’s brand.

Primary territories will include northeast Illinois, southeast Wisconsin, Texas, southwest Missouri, and may provide support for other regions as needed. This is a remote/home-based position, ideally located within 45 minutes north and/or west of Chicago area. Overnight travel will be required with most stays being 1-2 days and occasional stays of up to 10 days.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
  • Ensure restaurant operations are conducted in such a manner as to reflect favorably on the brand and to protect its trademark rights in a major geographic area
  • Monitor franchisee operations to ensure system standards are met or exceeded
  • Assist franchisees in meeting their business objectives
  • Communicate and implement operating plans and procedures to franchisees
  • Maintain and enhance amicable and professional relations with franchisees
  • Evaluate the suitability of current franchisee expansion opportunities based on a solid understanding of the ownership structure for each franchise operating business entity
  • Ensure franchisee and franchisor obligations are aligned and in compliance with the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels of qualified CFS operations personnel to meet the short- and long-term company growth needs
  • Actively work toward achieving CFS sales, experiences, and financial goals
  • Manage the budget and other financial measures within the Operations department
  • Supervise a team of Franchise Business Consultants within a major geographic area
  • Represent Operations on Franchise Advisory Council Subcommittee and cross-departmental teams as needed
  • Four-year college or university degree in related field
  • Ten years related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience as a Franchise Consultant or Multi-Unit Supervisor in a restaurant concept
  • Leadership experience with proven capacity to build and manage successful team
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time including nights and weekend travel
  • Food Safety & Sanitation Certificate
  • Valid Driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
