Looking for an outgoing personality, friendly full-time/part-time Optician/Technician for a wonderful, private practice. The staff member will be working between the Downtown and Collegedale locations. The ideal candidate would have the following knowledge and skills:

• Motivated, professional, responsible, organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker
• Knowledgeable of high-end eyewear, and lens options
• Excellent selling skills are a must
• Good communication skills with a friendly personality
• Experience with various insurance and vision plans
• Basic computer skills such as data entry, MS Office, etc.
• Must have experience filling insurance

Duties will include Helping patients select eyeglasses given knowledge of their insurance coverage.

• Taking accurate frame and lens measurements
• Ordering the selected glasses and contacts
• Dispensing and adjusting eyewear
• Insurance and Benefit explanation
• Creating an exceptional customer experience
• Assisting the optometrist as needed
• Co-Managing Front Desk, Scheduling Patient Appointment
• Preliminary Testing before Dr Appt, Office maintenance and organization
• Working up patients for the doctor, contact lens training on insertion/removal, and assisting with testing
• Must be willing to cross train in other areas of the office

Our Office hours are Monday-Friday 7:30-5:30 between the Downtown and Collegedale locations. The candidate should be able to have a flexible schedule.
