The primary focus for the DOT Compliance Specialist is ensuring Mustang Cat's compliance with Federal Regulatory Agencies such as FMCSA & DOT. Additionally, this position will be a part of Mustang Cat’s Environmental, Health, & Safety Team and will include responsibilities related to EHS. The DOT Compliance Specialist will work closely with the EHS Manager to implement Motor Fleet safety programs/policies across all Mustang Divisions and locations. This position will also collaborate with Mustang leadership, serving as a DOT/FMCSA resource and providing training for employees in safety sensitive work areas.

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to): • Assist with managing Mustang’s Telematics system for Fleet Management • Identify, Correct, and Promote safe driving behaviors for Mustang drivers • Assist with developing, administering, and monitoring driver training • Manage/Develop Mustang Cat’s Motor Fleet Safety Plan • Assist with managing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, Hours of Service, and Pre-/Post- Trip Inspections Additional Responsibilities: • Assist EHS Manager/Training Department with Safety Training • Assist supervisors with safety meetings • Monitor training initiatives to determine effectiveness • Assist EHS Manager with maintaining safety manual • Assist with development and implementation of various safety incentives This position requires: • College degree with Safety background preferred (Associate's or Bachelor's) • Minimum of 1 year experience with fleet safety programs management and regulatory compliance • Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations • Previous experience with FMCSA Portal and DataQ • Experience developing driver safety training materials • Ability to speak in front of large groups. • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization. • Eager to work as part of a team to achieve department goals Mustang Cat is a licensed Caterpillar dealer that provides new and used construction equipment, machinery, power systems, rentals, servicing, and more.
