Responsible as a LEAD TEACHER, for supporting the start-up of a brand-new school year and summer
enrichment Preschool program located in Goddard, Kansas. The preschool includes a 3-year-old and a
PreK classroom which are located inside of a Genesis Health Clubs gym that connects to a 90,000 sq ft
aquatics facility. The preschool is a second location, with the first located in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Extreme ownership is taken to ensure an A+ Genesis preschool brand experience through learning and
understanding all areas of operations. This position is full-time, year-round and follows elements of the
Goddard School DIstrict calendar for school days off. Compensation is $13-$17/hour based on
education and experience. Includes a gym membership to Genesis Health Clubs. Full benefits & 401K

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for reading, signing off and having clarity regarding information from the morning
communication log.
2. Competent with opening and closing procedures; including cleaning and sanitizing the classroom
daily.
3. Accountable for ensuring all Preschool-use areas are on brand.
4. Adhere to Preschool policies and procedures as defined in the Preschool team member
handbook.
5. Adhere to State rules and regulations for a Childcare license.
6. Work in conjunction with the Preschool Director to move the Team A+.
7. Study the industry and strive to be an expert in the field; secure and maintain all certifications
required by the State as Lead Teacher.
8. Participate in ongoing training for the Preschool by completing training hours according to the
State licensing requirement each year.
9. Plan and implement lessons that support Early Learning Guidelines. Make the lesson plans
available to the Preschool Director and share classroom learning with the parents. Provide
detailed plans and materials for a substitute to follow, if absent.
10. Send out regular, written communication to the parents.
11. Attend Team meetings and events and support fellow Team members in doing the same.
12. Work to develop strong relationships with members and Team members, and commit to creating
an On-Brand, enjoyable and inviting atmosphere for both members and Team within the
department.
13. Use DAP (developmentally appropriate practices) to assess a child’s development throughout the
school year.
Qualification Requirements:
1. Lead Teacher qualified according to early childhood State guidelines.
2. Strong understanding of a child's needs and development.
3. Highly motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. A strong understanding of customer service.
5. Effective organizational skills
6. Experience working with early childhood age in a licensed classroom setting.
7. Kansas Director certificate; preferred
