What Will You Do?
You will be responsible for the engineering, implementation, and validation of electric components and smart electronic products for electric vehicle thermal systems. You will report to a Senior Electrical Engineer. This position is located at our headquarters in Racine, Wisconsin, and does have flexibility to cater to a hybrid work schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and validate electrical components and systems for Modine Advanced Thermal Systems products.
• Design printed circuit boards (PCB), including component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and design for manufacturability and testability.
• Develop embedded firmware for electrical control and communication while conforming to automotive standards for code quality, testing, and functional safety.
• Maintain internal design and engineering specifications for electromechanical components.
• Participate in design meetings and communicate with supervisor, section manager, program manager, other product engineers, and manufacturing engineers regarding product design and other issues.
• Participate in all phases of a project, from concept to production
• Complete projects within allocated budget to meet Modine’s high quality and performance requirements.
• Create test plans and perform validation on components and systems to verify functionality, performance, reliability, and conformance to automotive industry standards.
• Diagnose and repair failures following the 8D process.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• This position is open to candidates of all experience levels
• Prior experience with programming is required, C would be very beneficial
• Prior experience with PCB design and embedded firmware is required

Travel for this position is less than 10% of the time.
