Summary: The Electrical Mechanical Specialist will perform a wide variety of non-routine, troubleshooting and/or install, maintain, rebuild, and repair complex custom-built electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanically controlled production equipment
- Perform a wide variety of non-routine, trouble-shooting of complex electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanically controlled custom-built production equipment
- Repair and rebuild all types of mechanical assemblies with proficiency and versatility. The assemblies may be custom-built requiring the development and fabrication of custom parts, maybe manual or automatic and be inclusive with electric, pneumatic or hydralic systems
- Perform preventative maintenance as directed by equipment schedule (15%). Perform welding and machining (10%).
- Perform purchasing function for Brockton Footwear manufacturing including sourcing and negotiating price regarding machinery and parts.
- Additional Responsibilities: Required to maintain work records (work orders, PM's, materials and parts) on a PC based system.
Requirements:
- An Associate’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics or 2 years of post secondary school formalized electrical / electronic training is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required with an AS degree. Candidates who possess a minimum of 5 years of electrical / electronics work experience and do not have an AS degree (or formalized post secondary school training) may be considered.
- Required to have own trade related tools to perform required tasks.
- Formal electronic training on AC circuits, DC circuits, CMOS and TTL and Digital Logic troubleshooting. Formal PLC training- basic overview of PLC function, communications, working knowledge of performing machine diagnostics.
- Working knowledge and use of safe work practices including Lock Out - Tag Out and NFPA - 70E Formal PLC training - basic overview of PLC function, electronic training on AC circuits, DC circuits, communications, working knowledge of performing machine diagnostics.
- Working knowledge and use of safe work practices including lock out - tag out and NFPE - 70E.
- Should work well with others and have communications and interpersonal skills.
- Should have analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Should have a thorough knowledge of mechanical related production equipment.
