Position Description

Technical support role, performs customer site audits for water and energy conservation projects. Executes technical audits, support utility use analysis and baseline metrics. Assist with development specification and installation details. Position will be remote based with up to 60% travel required.

  • The Auditor I position is a career track role that can progressively lead to development responsibilities that oversees audit, analysis, scoping, costing and financial modeling of turn-key retrofit programs for Water, Steam, Building Envelope and Lighting conservation measures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conducts site audit for customer facilities; includes Water, Lighting, Building Envelope and HVAC systems.
  • Works with Sales and Engineering teams to document baseline conditions; occupancy, census, and utility billing.
  • Collaborates with Sales and Development engineering to identify retrofit scope.
  • Supports Savings analysis and post retrofit conditions.
  • Supports request for proposals and scope of work for use by vendors and sub-contractors to provide bid estimates
  • Works with the Project Administrators and Engineers to provide technical assistance during the project installation process.
  • Up to 75% estimated travel.

Experience & Skills

  • Up to 2 years of experience as an energy or facilities auditor or equivalent mechanical or electrical contracting role.
  • Working familiarity and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with field testing equipment (ultrasonic flowmeters, portable data loggers, power analyzers), is a plus.
  • Two or Four year degree in a technical discipline, is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to communicate with others both written and orally, including the telephone.
  • Ability to travel independently.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Eyesight sufficient to read meters and examine small parts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $61,633.00 per year
