JOB SUMMARY:

BB&E is seeking an Engineer III to support the Expeditionary Engineering Facilities & Equipment Modernization Services onsite at Tyndall AFB, FL.

Our client will be Air Force Civil Engineer Expeditionary Engineering Division (AFCEC/CXX) which is responsible for the management, execution, modernization, and training of Expeditionary Facilities and Equipment Programs such as Airfield Damage Repair (ADR), Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR), Hardened Infrastructure Protection for Persistent Operations (HIPPO), Joint Construction Management System (JCMS). The focus of this contract will be the ADR Modernization Program.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical, engineering, and planning advisory and assistance services in support of the AFCEC Readiness Directorate, Expeditionary Engineering Division. Required Services include Information Management Support and Project Management Support. Some representative tasks are listed below.
  • Possess the expertise and capability to use the Automated Data Processing (ADP) systems utilized by AFCEC and its customers in support of the requirements of the PWS.
  • Assist in the dissemination of information gained on a project or program specific basis to all Air Force programs.
  • Store, transmit, evaluate and/or present data generated in support of AFCEC mission.
  • Perform data collection in support of AFCEC’s programs and goals.
  • Collect data on services AFCEC provides to its customers daily.
  • Analyze and update reports listed regarding findings as they transpire and change.
  • Provide technical support and data collection for the Expeditionary Facilities and Equipment Modernization Program with primary focus on ADR, BEAR, and HIPPO.
  • Update Spreadsheets and Databases and assure they are maintained and readily available as required.
  • Assist in digitally design and producing visual media products, such as PowerPoint presentation material, in support of mission briefings and the AFCEC mission.
  • Use geospatial information in support of the AFCEC mission.
  • Assist in the development, use, training, and certification of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and systems associated with expeditionary engineering.
  • Advise and assist the Government at readiness related meetings worldwide through conference attendance, delivering materials and equipment, at approximately 81-107 events per year at both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Assist in performing and delivering technical reviews of data deliverables, and equipment submitted by non-A&AS contractors as required.
  • Other services include conference/meeting support, statutory and regulatory requirements support; recommendations on innovative technology improvements; support in all phases of the Joint Construction Management System; technical research and evaluation of energy-efficient systems; development of training products and fielding plans associated with modernization program; validation of equipment, material and vehicle fielding issues; support for onsite training; logistics planning for modernization solutions; development of Unit-Type Codes (UTCs), development of funding requirements, cost estimates, and Master Schedules; and acquisition support.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree in a related field and 10 years of experience in a U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering career field, OR a minimum 20 years of experience in a U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer career field.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent customer service skills such as knowledge of product (Air Force Civil Engineering), patience, attentiveness, clear communication skills, time management and ability to use positive language to interact with customers on behalf of the organization.
  • Proficiency in computer skills to work and maintain sharepoints, websites, input and perform trend analysis using computer software such as MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Must possess technically related experience in Unified Facilities Codes (UFC), Joint Construction Management System (JCMS), Agile Combat Support (ACS), Adaptive Basing modeling and simulation, Construction Specification Institute, the Federal Logistics Database (FEDLOG).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, provide material takeoffs, and understand facility assemblage and work break down structure for both horizontal and vertical construction.
  • Familiarization with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Revit.
  • MS Office Suite, written and verbal skills; ability to research, analyze data/trends and present findings at the executive level.
