Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a talented professional to join the Missile Defense Test and Warfighter Support (TAWS) team on Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Specifically this role supports our Position Navigation and Timing (PNT) program.

Position Overview:

Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years experience
• Must have or obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of hire.
• Unix/Linux operating system expertise (RHEL)
• High proficiency of technical problem solving
• Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Defense System
• Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience prioritizing program efforts in a high tempo environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Python and C++ with focus on time and communications interfaces
• Familiarity with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and Electro-Optical Infrared (EOIR) sensors and simulations
• Familiarity with Position Navigation and Timing (PNT) services
• Agile development experience

Salary Range: $77,200 USD - $115,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
