Facilities Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
This is a “Hands On” position, with the focus to ensure that the facility is production ready at all times. This position is the “facilities” support for manufacturing and all internal customers.
- This individual works within the Facilities Department and has a wide range of responsibilities.
- The Facilities Maintenance Technician reports to the Facilities Manager.
- This individual must work well with other trades, disciplines, and facilities personnel, and always keep in mind that our goal is to support manufacturing, production, and all other internal customers.
- Develop scopes of work under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
- Demonstrate an ability to plan the installation of production equipment and facility equipment.
- Must be able to initiate repairs when recognized and perform an overall inspection of the work completed.
- Performs preventative maintenance routines and provides feedback on frequency and tasks contained within the routines.
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, fixture, and tools along with associated facilities.
- Must be able to interpret schematic diagrams to identify repair components necessary to correct malfunctions or abnormalities of the facility, equipment systems, and/or components.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of standard programmable logic controllers.
- Assess and determine proper welding methods when required as well as an ability to weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Must be able to give approximate costs, and time schedules.
- Must be able to work on several projects at a time, to meet the needs of a rapidly changing environment.
- Miscellaneous maintenance duties to ensure we are always production ready.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of recent verifiable maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
- This position may require standing for long periods of time, working frequently on ladders, scaffolds, and lifts. Working in dusty, dirty, hot or wet conditions, possibly confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work can include being outside or on rooftops during inclement weather conditions.
- Although rare, this position must be able to respond to emergencies 24/7.
