Summary of Job Description:

Incumbent in this position performs various Accounting and Financial functions from initial entry to financial statement preparation for the Tribe and its entities; also responsible for various analytical functions including Budgets and Analysis. The incumbent also assists the Manager of Accounting as liaison on enterprise system matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Intermediate skills in MS Office applications Word and Excel, or similar
• Familiarity with preparation of financial statements
• Strong financial analysis knowledge
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong understanding of debits and credits
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
• Ability to maintain detailed accounting records
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting systems, Microsoft D365 or similar
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and three (3) years professional experience in Accounting or Finance
• Two (2) years of experience in monthly closing of entities’ books including preparation of income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and financial analysis
• Experience in using accounting principles and auditing concepts
• Experience in the preparation of revenue and expense forecasting
• Experience in reporting and analyzing financial and budgetary statistical data including analyzing data with multiple cost centers
• Experience in cash flow projections and forecasting
