As our team in Galway City continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Frontend Software Engineer to join our Platform UI Team. Our team primarily focuses on typescript, javascript and webapp development. Genesys Cloud is a cloud-based contact-center and communications platform that's in hypergrowth mode. The Platform UI Team focuses on creating new customer facing admin features across various aspects of the product.
Location: For this role we are open to candidates being office based in Galway, remote workers within Ireland long term or a mix of both
What you will be doing:
- Design and develop high quality, efficient, testable software to implement key product features
- Work with the team to modernize some of our legacy UIs into modern frameworks and architecture
- Work closely with the UX team to ensure the best possible customer experience for users of our products
- Bring features all the way through design, beta, general availability and maintenance
- Write unit tests & end to end tests
- Understand the overall architecture of the system
- Regularly participate in team code reviews
- Apply processes appropriately for data security, traceability, and information sharing
- Collaborate with product management, backend developers and other frontend engineers to deliver innovative designs.
The skills that we are looking for:
- You have relevant industry experience developing web-based UIs
- Minimum of 2 years experience with JavaScript and/or Typescript
- You have delivered enterprise projects using web development frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue.
- You have experience with test frameworks
- Experience in Git, Jenkins
- You enjoy working with new technologies, and are curious and energetic
- You are eager to learn new things and enjoy experimenting with new technologies
- You enjoy a creative and agile environment that moves fast
- You have a degree in computer science or a related discipline
