Description:
Under the direction of the EVS Manager, performs related duties associated with the collection, processing, distribution and inventory of linens. Consistent with the mission of Terwilliger Plaza contributes to the efficient operation of the Environmental Services Department within an interdisciplinary resident-focused team.

Essential Job Functions:
Provide facility linen support services by ensuring the collection, distribution, processing and inventory of linens through completion of the following duties:

Performs the responsibilities of the position consistent with Terwilliger Plaza policies.

• Ensures quality linen support services through the maintenance of efficient workflow patterns and in cooperation with other staff and residents. Must demonstrate an ability to work under minimal direction and supervision
• Maintains a clean and tidy work area and equipment, following cleaning schedules and routines for the departmental and ensuring the proper care and economical use of resources.
• Sorts linens for processing.
• Loads and unloads washers and dryers.
• Operates ironers.
• Folds and sorts linen onto proper shelves for wrapping and pickup.
• Inspect linens for required markings.
• Protects own health and health of others by adopting safety work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and attending all relevant in-services regarding occupational health and safety.
• Observance of universal precautions and Hazard Communications.

• Perform other duties as required.

Education Required (Preferred):

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Years/Months of Experience:

• Six months or more related experience
