1st Shift 6:00 AM -2:00 PM

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Position Summary
This position will be responsible for understanding production work orders, load tags, time sheets and all other relevant documents, palletizing instructions and GMP’s.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Able to demonstrate basic math and measurement skills
• Familiarity with the use of hand tools; including tape measures
• Able to work at a brisk pace throughout an 8 – 12 hour shift in a non-sedentary position within a manufacturing environment
• Perform procedural quality inspections and identify defects as compared to written product specifications
• Able to read and follow all work instructions in a safe and effective manner
• Demonstrate outstanding attention-to-detail while always achieving superior safety, quality and productivity standards
• Develop Machine Operator qualifications by assisting Qualified Operators and through on-the-job training

• Palletizing

• Stacking
• Sorting
• Load Tags

Assist the Operators in efficient operation of the machine centers. Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of assigned equipment and surrounding work area. Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

Education Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Education Desired

Technical Degree

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired

• Prior Power industrial Truck (PIT) / Forklift experience preferred
• Basic computer skills – data entry
• Prior Manufacturing or Industrial Services experience preferred
• Satisfactory reading comprehension, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Willing and able to complete pre-employment drug and criminal background screenings if presented with a conditional offer of employment
• Must be willing and able to work mandatory overtime including weekends

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure
